La autonomía de los no-vivos offers a critical examination of the panopticon of our time—Big Data—from a philosophical and aesthetic angle that is deliberately unsettling precisely because it refuses to recycle commonplaces about “the digital.” The book argues that the image in digital culture should be understood not merely as representation, but as a productive dispositif: a mechanism that manufactures realities, subjectivities, and regimes of visibility. Its force lies in identifying the “attire” that many celebrate—technological promises—and showing, with precision, what mechanisms of control, capture, and meaning are activated behind it.
