Editorial Policy for Publishing Books
Once we receive the original manuscripts, they are evaluated by experts in the area/genre. The review of manuscripts can take up to 8 weeks. If, after that time, we do not contact you, the work has been rejected. RPPH will appoint a panel of experts in the field and external to the publisher to evaluate the book’s quality as a whole.
If the work is approved for publication, then we will begin the editing and proofreading process. All manuscripts are edited, designed and promoted by professionals.
All our digital publications are open access. This increases the dissemination and potential audience of the work. However, this option implies production costs that must be covered by the author (individual, collective or institutional). In addition to the digital work, the author may choose to publish the book in paper format. In this case, we commercialize the text in the main global markets.
Hard copies can be purchased through regular bookstore outlets, often at significantly below-average prices. As a standard practice, we return about 30% of the profits from print sales of the book to the author. The remaining profits are allocated to maintaining global distribution, indexing, and reinvesting in the platform to help reduce costs for authors who wish to publish on an open-access platform.
We recognize that authors benefit from disseminating their work as quickly as possible. Once a book has passed peer review, and a final copy has been provided, RPPH commits to publishing the book as soon as possible (usually within 2-4 months, depending on length and topic).
